Electronic Offering Program (EOP)

Due to extensive parishioner requests, St. Mary’s has instituted an electronic offering program.

What is “EOP”?

It is an electronic offering program for our church members and constituents to have their offering conveniently transferred from their checking, savings, or credit card accounts, directly to the church’s bank account. This program is professionally managed by EFT Corp., an offering management company.

Why checking, savings, or Credit card transfers?

Today, people are willing to have money transferred from these accounts to pay insurance premiums, utility bills, mortgages, fitness memberships and more. It is convenient and certain that a payment won’t be skipped. For the same reasons, St. Mary’s “EOP” program benefits those who want to support their church faithfully and consistently.

Will it cost me anything?

No, the church will cover the small monthly service and transaction fees.

How often will I be able to give electronically?

Credit card giving is charged on the 5th of each
month. If you elect to have your checking account debited then you have the choice of the 5th or the 20th of each month. If the 5th or the 20th falls on
a weekend or holiday, the debit will occur the next business day.

Can I change the amount of my offering transfer?

If you wish to change, increase, or discontinue your participation of your tax deductible offering, you may do so at any time by calling either Dennis Berg or Dawn Fielding, St. Mary’s “EOP” Coordinators, at 916-452-0296, and your request will be honored immediately.

What are the benefits?

· Your offering will be transferred safely and conveniently
· It will make it easier for you to make an offering to your parish, St. Mary’s.
· The paperwork and administrative expenses will be reduced, and as a result, more of your dollars will be put to wiser and efficient uses, on behalf of the parishioners.

Will the envelope program be abandoned?

You will continue to receive your weekly envelopes once a month. On the weekly offering envelope and monthly building fund envelope only there will be a choice of 2 boxes to check. One box says
“OFFERING ENCLOSED”, and the other says, “ELECTRONIC OFFERING PROGRAM”. You just mark the appropriate box, and for “EOP” merely deposit an empty envelope in the collection basket.
